Chapter 56.1 <— click on the link to read. Thanks to H. H. (the message was private so I won’t write the entire name) for the donation. Update: I’m feeling better now though I still have a lingering cough. The releases should be back to the normal daily schedule, unless I get sick again. Thanks for your support.

Chapter 55 is on the Novelupdates project page

Click here https://www.novelupdates.com/series/the-reader-and-protagonist-definitely-have-to-be-in-true-love/ and scroll down until you see the “Latest Release” section. The link to chapter 55 should be there.

I also have an edited version here.

The author’s moral integrity has fallen

Chapter 55 surprised me. I was not expecting that at all.

  1. omg, I just realized that their first time was barely a few chapters back. If their first time had been non-con, that would be so tragic. And Du Ze probably would have never let Xiu touch him again afgh;df

  2. Well, I wouldn’t say that I loved how that played out, but I appreciate a few things about it:
-There was no trying to sugar coat it from the author, this was bad
-Despite being out of his mind ML somewhere inside understands he was wrong
    -Thank goodness for reset
I think it was well written (and translated!) and I think it will turn out to be an important piece of the story and hopefully we will see some good character development on Xiu’s part. May not be so bad if he has to “suffer” a bit.
Great work, thanks for the quick updates!!!

  3. Chap 55 was a bit . . . . Intense
Du Ze’s 0-point restore meant that he’ll revert to his pure condition again which explains those overflowing blood
    And it’s without prep . . . . Oh, my poor baby
