Chapter 17.1 – Protagonist: He is mine

So you all read the previous chapter? Yeah, I was surprised, too. When I first read that I realized that there is a reason why Du Ze almost never speaks. The poor guy has a complex about his “weird” voice. Deaf people can’t hear themselves clearly so their speech can sound strange. However, Du Ze uses his hearing aid now. His speech is probably fine but his social barrier is really high.

What did Xiu actually say?

Left: What Du Ze thinks happened. Check out the bigger, pleading eyes and sparkly background. Right: What Xiu actually said. Notice it has a dark background and Xiu’s eyes are quite fierce.

Well, the title of that chapter is “Do not leave my line of sight.” I am pretty sure that is what Xiu said. It’s just that earlier, Xiu had tested Du Ze but our favorite heroic youth thought it was Xiu softening. Also, I really think that Du Ze is a shotacon who is weak when it comes to small, cute things.

Du Ze thought that Xiu was like a little kid pleading for mommy not to leave. But Xiu is more of a possessive master who doesn’t like it when his toy/lunch leaves.

  1. It is true, as person who have hearing loss. My tone speak so plain, many people who close me said to me is my speaking like robot lol. I can’t sing and i sometimes doesn’t realise myself speaking loud so i can hear what i am saying 😂😂

  2. I’m glad that Xiu didn’t abandoned him because of Dan maquinations!

Now I wonder is our MC will be able to scare all the bad guy as he do with the tiger before or maybe end up using the sword ? Mmmm….

Anyway, thanks for you awesome work in translating this!! I can wait to read what happen next!
