Chapter 5 – When a Fanfic Protagonist Transmigrated into the Original Novel

Xiao Kui was a disciple from the same batch as Zhangsun Zijun and Lu Ziyao at the Sword Refining Hall. The children who had come to a new place didn’t know anyone there. Therefore, the first thing they did was not to set an ambitious goal, but rather they tried to find a companion so that they wouldn’t be too lonely in the coming years.

In that batch of children, Zhangsun Zijun was undoubtedly the most outstanding one. Even though he was taciturn and a loner, he had a heavenly spirit root that was rarely seen in a hundred years. He was born with the temperament of a powerful man. Therefore, he was initially the most popular disciple during that time. Many people like to rely on the strong, including Xiao Kui.

However, Zhangsun Zijun was not interested in these mediocre people. He was only interested in his own sword. So the youngsters gave up after being frustrated. After all, Zhangsun Zijun was the strongest person, but he wasn’t the only one there.

The only one who was different was Xiao Kui.

Most of the youngsters were still pure and innocent so they didn’t take this to heart. However, Xiao Kui’s special life experiences had given him a very strong utilitarian attitude. He felts he must ally with the strong but if a strong person won’t ally with him, then that person is an obstacle. All obstacles must be removed.

In his eyes, Zhangsun Zijun’s indifference to him looked like contempt so he hated Zhangsun Zijun from the start. At that time, he plotted against Zhangsun Zijun’s life with the most senior disciple. They tricked Zhangsun Zijun into trespassing into a forbidden area, violating the rules. Heavenly Sword Sect’s head Yu Ying was a somewhat inflexible sword cultivator. He was extremely strict on those who violated the sect’s rules. Even though Zhangsun Zijun was a prodigy, he decided to expel him from the Heavenly Sword Sect.

At that time, the Medicine Hall elder Yao Budu used all of his might to protect him by taking on all the blame. The elder claimed that he had ordered Zhangsun Zijun to go to the forbidden area. In addition, as punishment the elder’s hundred years of cultivation was crippled. He didn’t want to let go of Zhangsun Zijun’s talent and took him to the Medicine Hall to continue cultivating.

Regarding this scheme, Xiao Kui was said to have won since Zhangsun Zijun was removed from the most powerful sword hall in the sect and became a lowly disciple of Medicine Hall. However, in his mind Xiao Kui’s failure to completely expel Zhangsun Zijun from the Heavenly Sword Sect was a hidden danger. Whenever he had the chance, he would make trouble for Zhangsun Zijun

That was the setting in the original novel as well as in the distorted fanfic.

Lu Ziyao said resentfully: “Xiao Shidi, we are all the same sect. How can you talk like this?”

“The same sect?” Xiao Kui sneered. “Lu Shixiong, these Medicine Hall bas****ds are the shame of our sword sect. You should be careful not to let these trash people distract you from your sword training.

The disciples of different halls have different ways of cultivating. The Heavenly Sword Sect’s essence of the sword is what the Sword Refining Hall cultivates.

Some of the Sword Refining Hall disciples behind Xiao Kui laughed. They are all disciples who have been favored by the heavens and always looked down on the people from the Medicine Hall.

Lu Ziyao looked worriedly at Zhangsun Zijun and whispered: “Zijun, don’t mind them…”

However, the expression on Zhangsun Zijun’s face did not contain the slightest trace of chagrin. These Sword Refining Hall didn’t even seem to register in his vision. He looked at them as though they were the same as the weeds or stones on the side of the road. He coldly spit out a word: “Boring.”

Xiao Kui was irritated by Zhangsun Zijun’s insolent attitude. He said in an annoyed tone of voice: “Zhangsun Zijun, what did you say?!”

“Tsk tsk,” Zhangsun Zijun casually. “Xiao Kui, give it up. No matter how hard you work, I won’t like you.”

Everyone: “…”

Xiao Kui’s expression cracked: “What did you mean?!”

Zhangsun Zijun was too lazy to deal with these clowns and turned away.

“You, stop right there!” Xiao Kui stamped his foot and said, “Zhangsun Zijun! Say it clearly, what do you mean?!”

“Say it clearly? Tch. Don’t knock on my door again in the middle of the night. Don’t cry and ask why I don’t want to see you anymore. I hate you. It’s that simple.”

“Whoa!” The disciples immediately make a racket. Xiao Kui treated Zhangsun Zijun as though he was a thorn in his flesh. Almost none of the people from the Heavenly Sword Sect knew the truth of the matter. The story behind his attitude turned out to be like this?! ****, this story is really very juicy!

Xiao Kui almost vomited blood: “You! You’re talking nonsense!”

His face turned red. The whispering around him and the mockery in the eyes of the other disciples left him with no face. He was tongue-tied and couldn’t explain himself. Angrily unsheathing his sword, he shouted: “Zhangsun Zijun, I’ll fight with you!”

Lu Ziyao didn’t have time to block the sword strike. All he saw was that Zhangsun Zijun’s hands moved then there was the flash of a sword between them and a deep trench appeared on the ground. The hard stones were cleanly cut in half.

Xiao Kui was trembling with fear. He hadn’t expected Zhangsun Zijun’s skills to improve so fast while he was in the Medicine Hall. He dared not act rashly again.

Zhangsun Zijun looked away from him. His face impassive, he coldly spit out a word: “Scram.” Then he walked away.

Xiao Kui vomited three feet of blood in anger – that man is arrogant and hateful. The most hateful thing about him is, you can’t beat him!!!

A short time later, the story of how Xiao Kui, a disciple of the Sword Refining Hall, relentlessly and shamelessly pursued Zhangsun Zijun, a Medicine Hall disciple, but was rejected spread all over the whole Heavenly Sword Sect.

Faced with an unexpected eight-year time difference, Zhangsun Zijun didn’t know what to do. He had nowhere to go so he decided to go back to the house to sort out his thoughts.

Lu Ziyao followed him, thinking about how the expression on Xiao Kui’s face was like a person who had eaten excrement. He couldn’t help but laugh.

Others may be convinced by Zhangsun Zijun’s words. After all, Zhangsun Zijun was never a liar, but Lu Ziyao knew that Zhangsun Zijun was not in his right mind. Therefore, he didn’t believe what he heard just now but his words made Xiao Kui shrivel up. Zhangsun Zijun’s malady wasn’t without its benefits.

Lu Ziyao asked: “Zhangsun Shidi, what kind of person am I in your current … world, eh, thoughts?”

Lu Ziyao has discovered that Zhangsun Zijun is not suffering from amnesia, nor is he a completely changed person. Rather, he had a unique view of certain things. So he was curious. What was he like in Zhangsun Zijun unique worldview?

Zhangsun Zijun looked at him lazily: “You.”

“Hmm, what do you think of me?” Lu Ziyao looked at him expectantly.

“You’re alright.”

Lu Ziyao was overjoyed. In the eyes of Zhangsun Shidi, is he such a good person?

“Just don’t stare at Yi Xichen’s b*tt,” Zhangsun Zijun said sharply. “He’s the mother of my child.”

Lu Ziyao: “…” Well, he shouldn’t have asked this question.

Along the way, Zhangsun Zijun tried to recall what happened eight years ago. If he really traveled back in time eight years ago, that would be all right. For cultivators, eight years is nothing much. It’s the equivalent of the time it took to snap your fingers. However, he was annoyed because apart from the time difference, there were other things that weren’t the same from what he remembered. What annoyed him the most was that he didn’t know which things in his memory were different now.

After the two of them returned to the room, it wasn’t long before they heard footsteps outside and someone knocked on the door.

Zhangsun Zijun sighed irritably. He leaned back and rubbed the bulge in his pants. Setting up this kind of flag was very annoying. Life needs a bit of freshness and challenge. He would have liked it if he had to guess who was coming. Why is there such a strange phenomenon in which “whenever Yi Xichen is within a 100 meter radius of him, there is a physiological reaction”?

Before he could speak, Yi Xichen opened the door— with the type of close friendship between them, it was normal for him to do so.

Yi Xichen rushed in then took out two pills and put them on the table: “Shixiong, this is my newly refined medicine, you…”

Before he could finish speaking, Zhangsun Zijun stood up as though he had seen a ghost and took three steps back.

In that distorted fanfic world, the OOC Yi Xichen was given the magical setting of “everything he refines has a 100% chance of being an aphrodisiac.” Whenever Zhangsun Zijun took any of the medicine Yi Xichen made, the fire in his pistol wouldn’t die down and they would have to tussle in bed for seven days and seven nights.

– This terrible pill, he didn’t want to eat it at all! His waist was already very strong. He doesn’t need to train his waist with more high-intensity exercises.

Yi Xichen didn’t expect that Zhangsun Zijun would reject his medicine in such a way. He was a disciple of Medicine Hall. Although his alchemy level wasn’t high, this type of simple pill wasn’t something he couldn’t refine. In order to quickly refine this Awaken Mind pill, he risked being beaten up by elder Yao Budu by stealing some herbs from his garden.

“I won’t eat your pills,” Zhangsun Zijun said very firmly.

Yi Xichen touched his chin. Zijun refused to take his medicine? Is it usually hard to get him to eat his pills? Forget it, that’s not important. What’s important is that he should swallow the Awaken Mind pills so he can quickly return to normal.

“Hey, what’s that on your ceiling?”

Zhangsun Zijun automatically looked up at what Yi Xichen was pointing at. His mouth opened slightly.

“Poof!”

Two pills were shot into his throat and he instinctively swallowed it.

Zhangsun Zijun: “…”

A moment later, Yi Xichen looked at him with expectant eyes. “Zijun, are you feeling better? Do you remember what year it is?”

The look in Zhangsun Zijun eyes was extremely resentful: “Yi Xichen.”

“Hmmm.”

“Do you really need to **** that much?”1

“…”

  1. ”你很欠|草吗” – I just interpreted it. The actual words couldn’t be said (since a lot of words are censored in China) so I had to guess.
