- “Black-bellied” (腹黑, fùhēi) is a character archetype, originally from Japanese manga/anime. It describes a person who appears kind and harmless on the surface but is secretly manipulative, cunning, and scheming.
- “Beast” or “animal” (禽兽, qínshòu). In a romantic or BL context, this is often used to describe a character who is aggressive, shameless, or driven by their primal desires.
- The literal translation is “pervert” or “stalker” (痴汉, chīhàn), from Japanese. However, in fandom and fiction, it’s often used in a more lighthearted way to mean an obsessive, lovestruck fanboy or admirer who can be goofy in their devotion.
