Quickly Wear the Face of the Devil aka Quick Transmigration: Face Slapping Demon

You know, lately I was looking for stories to reread and I went through my reading list to try to find a good one. That’s when I remembered Quickly Wear the Face of the Devil, and I must say that even on a third reading, it still slaps!

Of course, my all-time favorite is still The Reader and Protagonist Definitely Have to Be in True Love because it has the best MC, ML, and satisfying ending, but Quickly Wear the Face of the Devil is honestly S-tier, too.

Seriously, what is up with that? It should have been released ages ago. Why is there no news about it?

Does anyone know if it will still be released? Or at least maybe someone knows why it won’t be released.

I know the first season was a little bit rough, and many people, including me at first, were not too happy that it was 3D, but when I did watch it, I liked it. So I’ve been looking forward to more episodes. The second season would’ve been so exciting! There’s so much action and drama in the story that hasn’t been animated yet!

I really hope we can get more adaptations of The Scum Villain’s Self-Saving System.

The website is pretty popular which means we get a decent amount of traffic, so we need robust website hosting. I did try to shop around for something cheaper, but the ones I checked were either more expensive, the same price, or only slightly cheaper. I don’t want to go through the hassle of moving hosts if the price difference is like twenty cents per month.

Besides, almost all the website hosting plans I saw had some rather deceptive marketing. Like, they would offer really cheap hosting, but in the small print it says “only for the first year” then one would have to pay a lot more (like 3x more) the next year.

There were also some that offered “unlimited*” or “unmetered*” packages. See that asterisk? It means there’s a catch. It’s unmetered/unlimited unless your website “consumes too many resources” whereupon your website goes offline. So… “unlimited*” and “unmetered*” actually means the opposite. All the plans are limited and metered!

Of course, that’s probably okay for most websites, but not for BC Novels since it uses a lot of bandwidth.

I’m Sick and Tired of My Childhood Friend’s, Now Girlfriend’s, Constant Abuse so I Broke up With Her

Light novel and Manga titles can be so long! Anyway, I was reading “I’m Sick and Tired of My Childhood Friend’s, Now Girlfriend’s, Constant Abuse so I Broke up With Her” (Original Title: 幼馴染彼女のモラハラがひどいんで絶縁宣言してやった) and thought it was pretty good though not many chapters have been released yet. I just hope it doesn’t become super dark and tragic in the end.

Summary:

My childhood friend is also my girlfriend. A dream come true, right? Hell no. She insults me on a daily basis. She grinds my dignity into shreds and it takes a toll on my mental well-being. I can’t take it anymore.

Have you read any good books lately?

Recently, I was rereading Ursula Le Guin’s Earthsea books. Although the books start off as a coming-of-age story about the main character who attends a magic school ala Harry Potter, I am not sure if this series is meant for children.

The Earthsea books tell the story of the Archipelago of Earthsea, a world of islands filled with magic. The main protagonist of the first book is Ged, a young wizard who discovers his immense power and sets out on a journey to master it. Along the way, he confronts many dangers, including dragons and other magical creatures, and learns about the power of balance and harmony in the world.

Le Guin’s writing is thoughtful and full of insight into human nature. I really enjoyed reading her books.

Have you been watching House of the Dragon?

I thought the new series based on Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings would be this season’s big hit, but it seems that HBO’s House of the Dragon is what people are talking about.

When I first heard about this series, I didn’t know what to think. I have read Fire and Blood, the book it’s based on. It was written like a history written by the maesters, and it’s quite bloody indeed. Now that I have watched five episodes of House of the Dragon, I’m really enjoying seeing this history come to life on the small screen. I recommend it to people who are looking for a new fantasy TV series to watch.

I’m not saying that it’s a masterpiece. It’s not. However, I do enjoy watching it.

What do you think about House of the Dragon? I haven’t watched The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power yet. Is it worth watching?
