I really can’t wait for the second season of the animated adaptation of The Scum Villain’s Self-Saving System. Has there been any news? I’ve been looking all over, but I haven’t found anything concrete.

Speaking of the animation, have you watched it, and what did you think of it? When the trailers were first revealed, I was more than a little bit concerned because I really prefer 2D. However, when it was launched I got used to the 3D animation.

    danm it it’s so heartbreaking to see luo binghe like this after knowing what he was like originally 🙁 it’s kind of off putting the way he treats the girls, but he seems to just act like that with everyone lmao. the ladies seem to be the ones who are around him the most, so I guess they get the worse of it… oh well, it can only get worse!!!

      Well apart from having his beloved betraying him (what he thought), then him dying for him in front of his eyes while he thought that he hated him, I think its obvious why he became like that. And right now is only the beginning so I don’t know how someone can have an opinion of him without knowing the full story.

      He lost his true love and he blames himself. His only happiness was his shizun. If he was the same happy pup, you would complain on why he doesn’t care about Shen dying.

    Woah, that heart devil sword is bad news… I guess living in darkness all the time is way less painful than enjoying heaven only to be cast down into hell… Not really seeing LBH recover from it any other way besides either breaking the sword or having SQQ pledge eternal love or something with him… even that might not work since he would be paranoid all the time about losing SQQ…

    Ahh, the poor sisters… Alas, the only one in Luo Binghe’s heart is his Shizun!

    A lot of people say that SQQ is dense, and how obvious LBH’s affection is, but… remember, at this stage, the only definite way we know this as readers is because we already know that this is a danmei… also, SQQ still believes that this Binghe is the same as the one in the novel he read – meaning that he believes him to be very much straight… also, at this stage, Shen Yuan also identifies himself as straight, so the notion that he or LBH could feel anything towards each other would probably never cross his mind, especially because he still at least partially has the mindset of a reader with LBH as the protagonist, and knows of the original Luo Binghe’s hatred towards the original Shen QingQiu (along with the original’s ending….)
    Also, since he basically raised Binghe since his transmigration and knows how he used to be around him, he still probably thinks that the affection we have seen is a shadow of that puppy love, else, guilt or anger…
    LBH beat him up, imprisoned him before etc, so it’s no wonder SQQ thinks he hates him.. of course, we know that this was really all a result of a huge misunderstanding and that Binghe felt a huge sense of betrayal because of how he had adored his Shizun, but from SQQ’s point of view, it’s revenge for him having thrown him into the endless abyss.
    …so really, it’s quite impossible at this stage for our Peerless Cucumber to have realised his disciple’s huge crush on him – though, I do eagerly await the time when he finally does!!

      I like how you summarised SQQ frame of mind and why he could not be blamed for not understanding LBH feelings..but I want him to never ever realize it because right now LBH is making me so mad..what kind of love is this? He is not done inflicting pain over MC!? . For god’s sake, SQQ is always doing him a favour and then ML comes and bangs him up. And Everyone hopes that they should fall in love.
      I don’t know about others but in my view, I will be traumatized with such a person for whole life whether they’re a hero or an omnipotent. Such a bull****.
      Where’s the logic in inflicting pain and then loving… it’s totally sadist.

      There’s nothing missing. We use the latest official edited version from JJWXC. This is how it ends. Maybe you are looking at a different version since there are a few of them around.

    It’s not that he doesn’t mind. SQQ is a very pragmatic person. He can differentiate what can and can’t do. So, he resigned himself to the position of the follower. To him, it’s at least better than becoming the human stick figure, which was the fate of the original.

    Poor Shizun tried so hard to escape but now he’s basically a slave to that demon blood not even a day after resurrecting….

    I think it makes sense the Shen Qingqiu still mistakenly thinks that Luo Binghe is the original one from the novel. After all, he has the unrealistic and all-knowing System nagging him all the time. It’s no wonder that he still can’t accept that this is real, when he has the novel’s biggest fan in his ear all the time.

    This is one of my favorite chapters, because we’ve a prime example of how ridiculous Shen Qingqui is.
    He did execute his years long plan to fake his own death to escape from Luo Binhe… And less than 24h later from resurrecting, he’s happily following Luo Binghe home! And getting upset because he’s leaving without him.

    He didn’t need to became one of LBH’s followers, he only had to appear in front of him at the full moon to work as a powerbank. But no, instead of trying to maintain a prudent distance, our MC chooses to go after his personal stalker, the guy who probably could recognize him just by the way he uses his chopsticks to eat or the way he laughs behind his fan.

    I get the feeling that the real reason Shen Yuan faked his death was because he didn’t want to be the SQQ who pushed his little sheep to the Endless Abysm anymore. And given the chance, he’d love to be near LBH again. Although he’d never say it, because the one who’s unable to forgive SQQ for pushing LBH to the abyss is himself (and that’s the reason he’s convinced LBH hates him, doesn’t matter how obviously wrong it’s)

      Well tbh I’d say the reason he thinks LBH hates him is because of all the angry choking, force-feeding blood, hurting, imprisoning, apathy, and (supposed) falsely framing to ruin him nonsense that happened as soon as he returned. Let’s be honest, LBH’s behavior never helped his case at all, so SQQ’s reaction is definitely realistic. He’s also thought himself to be straight all his life, and has no reason to think LBH is otherwise. Furthermore, he practically raised him after transmigrating. He definitely felt guilty about pushing him, but I think he’s pretty annoyed at getting caught again. He had genuinely wanted to get away, but he’s chill and takes things as they come (one of the reasons why SQQ is my favorite). I’m pretty sure we have quite a ways to go before he even sees him as a potential love interest.

    SQQ is so oblivious. He should suspect that something is different just seeing the way LBH treats his so called ‘wives’. I’m really intrigued as to what would be their relationship from now on.
