I just finished reading a completely translated short story in 11 parts about a voice actor and his die-hard fan. It’s titled “The Pregnant Woman Next Door, How Are You Doing?”

It’s pure, sweet fluff! I recommend it if you want to read something nice that has a positive energy.

Lots of people prefer to read novel-length work but I personally enjoy these shorter stories.

P.S. Don’t believe the misleading title. There is no (actual) pregnancy in the story.

Cradle Series by Will Wight

The Cradle Series by Will Wight is pretty good. It’s currently unfinished at 5 books published out of a total of 12 planned books.

The story is about a boy in a Xianxia-like world. It’s not technically called Xianxia, lol, since the author put his own spin on it but it’s almost 100% Xianxia if you ask me.

I enjoyed the first three books immensely but I feel like the excitement waned after that. However, it’s worth reading.

I’ve also read Will Wight’s Traveler’s Gate Trilogy which I enjoyed a lot except for …. spoiler here … scroll down for the spoiler

I have been releasing one chapter every week but I mentioned before that the chapters are longer now. This might cause a bit of a delay sometimes but don’t be alarmed. Everything is fine and I am working at the same speed as always. It’s just that the chapters are longer… but I am still releasing the same word length per month as before.

Hopefully, I can adjust and continue to release weekly!

I’ve been reading this weirdly titled manhua, My Phoenix’s On Top. Special advisory: There is no phoenix seme (on top) in the manga. It’s not BL. Imagine my disappointment!

It’s usual isekai type: Unlucky girl from the modern time goes to another world, unexpectedly receives an incredible power, and capturing the crown princes from four countries’ heart, all the way to become the imperial harem’s lord?

Only seven chapters have been translated but it seems promising.

Hi guys, sorry for being two days late with the chapter. I actually have a “soft deadline” for chapters since it would be too much like a job (instead of a hobby) if I had to adhere to a strict deadline.

This is one of the very few completed cultivation/Xianxia novels with a female main character. I love it!

It’s a comedy about a woman from modern day China who transmigrated into a Xianxia realm. Since she has the rare “lightning spirit root” she gets chosen by the world’s most powerful cultivator to be his personal succeeding disciple. In other words, the one who will inherit all of his techniques and treasures.

Zhu Yao is an awesome main character! Her long-suffering master, Yu Yan is also great. The minor characters are also very memorable.

The art is awesome (see image below) but the story and characters are just average.

Princess in the Prince’s Harem by Luna Lotus Scans – a noble girl was called ugly by the Emperor. Her talent for trolling people caught the eye of a prince and she was forced to enter the palace as a (male) painter. (This summary is mine.)

Have you watched the new Mo Dao Zu Shi animation from Tencent? The English subtitles are out for the first four chapters. The animation is very nice and the story is great.

LOL, where is poor Xie Xi in all of this? His family’s story hasn’t even been revealed but Chu Yu’s family drama is getting a lot of screen time.

Could it be that Xie Xi has been demoted to a minor character while Chu Yu and Chu Sheng are the new lead characters?!

Plus Alpha no Tachiichi

In case you want some manga to read, here is a completely translated 13-chapter work:  +α no Tachi Ichi. Weird name, lol. It’s about a girl who was transported to another world manga… as a side character.

Summary:

Satoki Houma is an imaginative girl who enjoys shoujo manga. However, in the perfect shoujo manga twist, one day she gets dragged to an alternate world where the people have summoned a Holy Maiden to save them! Except so did her classmate, Haruka Toudou, who fits the exact model of a Shoujo Protagonist.

In short, she stays in the sidelines observing the action as the heroine (her classmate) is hailed as the Holy Maiden. I must say that the ending was a little unsatisfying at first but on my second read, I found that it was pretty okay.
