Release Schedule for All Projects

People have been asking about my release schedule. I release chapters whenever I finish them. I have no set schedule nor do I stock up chapters in advance. I currently have three projects:

    1. Every Day the Protagonist Wants to Capture Me
    2. When a Fanfic Protagonist Transmigrated into the Original Novel
    3. Never Marry a Man With Two Tintins

I’m also helping out with

The Scum Villain’s Self-Saving System

Having said that, I will most likely release at least one chapter a week or four times a month for Every Day the Protagonist Wants to Capture Me and When a Fanfic Protagonist Transmigrated into the Original Novel. Those two are Xianxia so they are not easy to translate.

In particular, the writing style of Every Day the Protagonist Wants to Capture Me is the most difficult for me to understand. Therefore, although I consider it to be my main project, I can’t release it faster than that. By the way, for that project I have a translation checker and an editor. This makes releases slower since it goes through a longer process than the other two projects but the quality should be better.

Never Marry a Man With Two Tintins is much easier to translate because of the author’s simple and clear writing style. That will probably have a faster release.

In total, I will most likely be releasing something like 12+ chapters a month since I have so many projects. In case I don’t have enough time, I will prioritize Every Day the Protagonist Wants to Capture Me.

I found a great new story: Jellyfish

I didn’t read it before since the summary was weird and I couldn’t understand what the story was really about.

It’s set in modern-day China but with fantasy elements. In the story, supernatural beings as well as human and beast cultivators are encouraged to leave their usual homes (remote mountains and such) to go and live in human society. However, they have to keep their supernatural side secret from the humans. The two main characters are a fox and a jellyfish. Both of them have cultivated enough that they have human forms.

The fox is a third-tier actor who has a chance encounter with the ancient jellyfish while he was on vacation.

It’s a heartwarming and fluffy slice of life story. The setting is really unusual for a BL! I like it a lot.

There aren’t many chapters translated but it’s fine since there are no cliffhangers. It’s slice of life so it’s cheerful and funny most of the time.

Chapter 1 – When a Fanfic Protagonist Transmigrated into the Original Novel

I have a new project! Hooray!

When a Fanfic Protagonist Transmigrated into the Original Novel (Project Page)

Chapter One <– click here to read it

The original novel was one of friendship between fellow sect members who grew up together. They became bosom buddies who weathered the vicissitudes of life together until they finally reached the peak of the cultivation world, becoming legends.

However, “rotten women” (fujoshis *cough*) see romance everywhere, even between two straight men who are just close friends. A yaoi fanfiction writer created an H story in which the cold, stolid Zhangsun Zijun became a beastly seme and the hot-tempered, kind Yi Xichen became a frail uke whose flower everyone wanted to pluck.

What happens when the OOC protagonist of a yaoi fanfiction is transmigrated into the original novel?

I’m so happy!

That manhua that I like, Miao Shou Xian Dan, has not one, but TWO cute shotas. OMG! I love it. 😀 I really enjoy reading or watching cute things.

miao shota

Oh, what’s this? A shota with red eyes?

Well, you know what sailors say? “Red sky at night, sailors’ delight. Red sky at morning, sailors take warning.”

I’m not yet sure whether the red eyes mean he is someone to squeal over or avoid.

miao master

It’s a (somewhat) foul-mouthed, rude shota! This one seems tsundere or something, hahahahahaha! Cute!

The Story of High School Boys Who Became Magical Girls

I recently discovered this super hilarious manga.

magical girls

I read it on its page in Mangadex since it seems the scanlator doesn’t have his own website. Mangadex tends to load slowly for me but it has no ads so I like to use it.

Red Wedding

No, not a red wedding Game of Thrones style. 🙂 Just a traditional Chinese wedding.

I’m sorry for the long wait, this chapter was difficult.

Asian Hobbyist

Last chapter was published at Asian Hobbyist. Why? Uh, because I wanted to and it might help with SEO. It’s just a friendly collaboration. I’m hoping that some of their readers will take a look at this project when they see it on Asian Hobbyist.

In short, I wanted to get the extra exposure.

So this is it, this is the end.

It’s kinda bittersweet for me. I finally finished the entire story and all of the extras so this is my last post about releasing a new chapter of The Reader and Protagonist Definitely Have to Be in True Love.

I’m extremely happy that I finished it but I also feel a little sad that it’s all over and there are no more new chapters after this.

Here are two of my favorite images.

I read the manhua and this image is the iconic image of Du Ze and Xiu, IMO.

Chapter 24 – Every Day the Protagonist Wants to Take Care of Me

Today I have partnered with Asian Hobbyist, a friend’s website. They have a lot of stories there, for example this one (Common Sense of a Duke’s Daughter).

Click here for Chapter 24 of Every Day the Protagonist Wants to Capture Me.

The Third

Regarding the translation, do you “Third Shidi” is okay? It means the third-ranked fellow disciple under the same master. He has not been given a name. The options are:

Third Brother

Third Shidi

San Shidi

I’ve been using “Shidi” but others do use “brother” since it’s easier to understand For example, that is the term used in the manhua Wo Jia Dashi Xiong Naozi You Keng. Like this example, notice they call one of the characters “Second Brother.”

Let me know if you have any preference.

Thanks for reading.

Did you like the last chapter?

四月は君の嘘 | 月森うさこ [pixiv]
Here’s a nice picture that I think looks like Du Ze, glasses, earphones, and all. It’s from the anime “Your Lie in April.” The protagonist of that anime, like Du Ze, also has a hearing problem. He’s not deaf, it’s a … no I can’t say because it would be a spoiler. Anyway, the pic is nice and I wanted to share it with you.

I’m just glad that Xiu and Du Ze had a happy ending and we have three epilogue chapters of their life together. Sweet!

Thanks for reading.
