Author’s Notes:

  • The pig’s foot1 comes with his own System. This story will not involve mpreg/childbirth.
  • My lifelong, untamed love is for the main shou.2
  • The protagonist transmigrates into a rebirth, revenge, and cultivation3 novel that he himself wrote.
  • The male lead (gong4) has a warped moral compass.5 Reader discretion is advised.
  • This is a goofy,6 lighthearted story. The plot isn’t meant to be taken seriously and is full of melodrama.7 Just read it for a good time. If you get serious, you lose!8
  • Regarding the gong’s name: This author9 is terrible at naming.10 The names for the gong and shou were chosen by rolling dice in a web game, and the other names were randomly selected using naming software. I (the author) didn’t put much thought into the names; it was all done on a whim~~~ If it really bothers you, just think of it as my malicious prank =U=. (I really did just pick them because I thought it was funny at the time.)

Yuri vs. Baihe

“Yuri” is the term that comes from Japan. It broadly covers all female same-sex romance in manga, anime, and light novels. Its roots trace back to the early 1970s. The word “yuri” itself means “lily” in Japanese, a flower often associated with purity and beauty, and in this context, female-female affection.

On the other side, “Baihe” is the Chinese equivalent. It specifically refers to female same-sex stories originating from China, typically in web novels, manhua (comics), and donghua (animation). “Baihe” also translates to “lily” in Chinese, showing that shared symbolic connection across cultures.

Okay, so the dark mode add-on to the website does seem to be lagging it, but I think it looks good. I will probably remove it in the future since the impact on the loading speed is too much. To the person who asked for dark mode, sorry! I tried!

In other news, updates have been daily so far, and we aim to keep it that way. *crosses fingers* Depending on how it goes, weekends might be non-update days, but perhaps some weekdays will be double chapter days to make up for it.

Is the website lagging?

Hi guys, as I mentioned yesterday, I added a dark mode toggle to the website. You should be able to see it on the lower right corner.

The problem is that when I add something to the website, sometimes it doesn’t play nice and causes issues. I think the new dark mode add-on is making the site load slower than before. I might remove it after a bit more testing. Or I might not.

Google PageSpeed Insight metrics definitely doesn’t like it, alas.

Based on the findings, it delays the loading time by 1.5 seconds, which is a lot since websites should ideally load within 2 seconds

Please let me know if you’re having any issues with it.

Dark Mode is here! No, it’s not, I had to remove it

Edit: I removed it because the add-on made the website load really slowly.

I got a comment asking for a dark mode function for the website. Okay! I just added it.

There should be a floating toggle you can use to switch to dark mode. It’s in the lower right corner of the website. If it doesn’t appear, try going to the BC Novels home page and click on it there.

Table of Contents and Chapter Links

I have now added a table of contents and links to the previous and next chapters at the start and end of every chapter.

This was done manually. Based on my research, there should be plugins or add-ons that work, but I’ve always done it this way. Please let me know if any of the links are wrong.

Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League

I cannot believe this movie exists! This is crazy! Batman Ninja? Yes!

Summary:

After returning from feudal Japan, the Batman family learns that not all is as it seems. As the country of Japan has mysteriously disappeared from its original location, and to make things even stranger, a giant island is currently floating over Gotham City. The city is then invaded by an army of yakuza led by its own version of the Justice League. It’s up to the Batman family to save the city from this invasion.

Even though I saw it with my own eyes, I still can’t get over how weird this film is. Have you watched it? What did you think of it? I’m kinda on the fence here. The concept is wild and funny, but I guess I just wasn’t fully into it.
