I’m already translating as fast as I can and I can’t add more chapters. Actually, my editor is on break during the holidays which means that the next few chapters will be unedited. This is, of course, my fault for not being fast enough to stock up chapters for these little breaks, lol. Just blame me for not being some sort of translator robot.

Chapter 73 is the one with the snu-snu *cough*. This one, chapter 72, does not have that type of content.

So don’t worry, everything is fine.

Louis mentioned the gnome. I remember that some readers asked how exactly Louis and the gnome reproduced. Here is the family tree again. It seems that Louis put his “breath” on the gnome through some crazy experiment and the gnome later escaped. The gnome’s child was Xiu’s father.

So now we have some information about that side of Xiu’s parentage.

This is why translation is difficult

Analects: 君君臣臣父父子子 – jūn jūn chén chén fù fù zǐ zǐ

In English it would be (transliterated): Lord Lord Minister Minister Father Father Son Son.

Given that type of sentence, a translator would have to interpret it properly and in a way that English readers can understand. In this case, it is saying “A ruler is a ruler; a minister is a minister; a father is a father; a son is a son.”

However, you can’t really stop there, can you? Well, actually you can stop there. It might be best to let readers make their own conclusion.

If you want to explain it though, then what it means would be something like: “A ruler should act as a ruler; a minister should act as a minister; a father should act as a father; a son should act as a son.”

In other words everyone has their proper place in society.

Only 25 chapters left to go! Whohoo! Why did I put so many exclamation marks?! I must be over-excited.

When I first started this project I wasn’t sure how fast I could publish chapters. Thankfully, once those first few chapters were finished, I managed to release chapters everyday. That time when I was sick doesn’t count. 😛

19 Tian Manhua

Do you like to read BL manhua (CN comics)? Maybe you haven’t encountered any yet? Here’s something I like to read: 19 Tian. It’s totally safe for work. Chapter 1 is here. However, note that the first 1-54 “chapters” are just artwork, not comics. The artwork is very good though!

The latest translations are on the group’s Tumblr page here – 19 Tian manhua. Over 210 chapters have been translated by the hardworking fan translators so give them some love on their Tumblr. I know most people probably read manga/manhua on the aggregator websites but if you want to support the translators or scanlators who do all the work while the aggregator websites get all the traffic and income, it’s good to visit the scanlator’s website.
